As the protection of your personal data is of particular concern to me, it is thus processed only on the basis of the legal provisions (GDPR, Telecommunications Act 2003). In the following data protection information, I will inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in connection with my website.
If you access my website, certain general information will automatically be gathered. This information (Server Log-files) contains, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system being used, the domain name of your Internet Service Provider, etc. This involves exclusively information which does not allow one to draw conclusions about your personal identity. This information is technically necessary to enable the contents you requested on the website to be delivered correctly; the said information is obligatory when using the Internet. This kind of anonymous information is processed statistically in order to optimise Internet presence and the technology behind it.
If you make contact with me through an online form or via email, I will save the data you enter for the purpose of processing your inquiry. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your permission.
As I apply the principles of data reduction and data economy, your personal data are stored only as long as the attainment of the goals described here necessitate it, or as the various statutory storage periods passed by the legislator intend it. After the discontinuation of the respective purpose or after the expiration of the storage periods, the concerned data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the legal stipulations.
To protect your data during the transfer, state-of-the-art technology is used in accordance with encryption procedures (e. g. SSL) via HTTPS.
To operate this website, I am renting a server from the following service provider:
1&1 Internet SE
Elgendorfer Straße 57
56410 Montabaur
Head Office Montabaur, Amtsgericht Montabaur, HRB 24498
Board: Eric Tholomé, Dr. Christian Böing, Hüseyin Dogan, Hans-Henning Kettler, Matthias Steinberg, Achim Weiss
Chairman of the Supervisory Board: René Obermann
Since 1&1 Internet SE does not store personal data from visitors to websites, no conclusion about individual visitors to the websites can be drawn. The following data are collected:
In 1&1 WebAnalytics, data are only collected for statistical analyses and the technical optimisation of the web offers.
No data will be forwarded to third parties.
The following information will explain the contents of my newsletter, the registration, dispatch and the statistical analysis procedure in addition to your rights to objection. By subscribing to the newsletter, you declare your agreement to its receipt and to the procedure referred to above.
The newsletter is dispatched by “Campaign Monitor”, a newsletter dispatch platform operated by: Campaign Monitor Pty Ltd, 404/3-5 Stapleton Avenue, Sutherland, NSW, Australia, 2232.
The email addresses of the newsletter recipients and their additional data described as part of this information are stored on the servers of Campaign Monitor in the USA, and if necessary, in Germany and Australia. Campaign Monitor uses this information for the dispatch and analysis of the newsletter on my behalf. Furthermore, Campaign Monitor, in accordance with its own information, may use the data for the optimisation and improvement of its own services, such as the technological optimisation of the dispatch and the presentation of the newsletter for economic purposes in order to determine the countries of the recipients. However, Campaign Monitor does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to contact them directly and does not forward their data to third parties.
I have confidence in the reliability and the IT and data safety of Campaign Monitor. Campaign Monitor is committed to complying with the GDPR regulations and has implemented extensive internal measures to guarantee all of this. The details of the public statement can be read here: https://www.campaignmonitor.com/trust/gdpr-compliance/. The measures implemented for the data safety can be accessed here: https://www.campaignmonitor.com/trust/security/. The data protection regulations of Campaign Monitor can be accessed here.
I only send out newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications with promotional information (hereinafter “Newsletter”) on the basis of the recipient’s agreement or based on legal permission. Provided that the contents of the newsletter are described concretely during the registration process, they are decisive for the agreement by the users.
The so-called Double-Opt-In-Procedure is used when registering for the newsletter. This means that you will receive an email after your registration, asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to prevent one person from registering with another person’s email address.
Registrations for the newsletter are recorded so that the registration process can be verified according to legal requirements. Storage of the registration and confirmation time is part of these requirements in addition to the IP-address. Changes to your data at Campaign Monitor will be recorded also.
Your email address is sufficient to register for the newsletter.
As an additional option, I ask for your first and last name as well as your salutation. This information is only used to facilitate the personalisation of the newsletter.
The newsletter contains a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file, which will be retrieved by the server of Campaign Monitor at the time of opening the newsletter. During the retrieval, technical information, information concerning the browser and your system, and your IP-address and the time of the retrieval are collected. This information is used for technical improvements of services, based on the technical data or target groups, their reading habits and location of retrieval (these can be determined with the help of IP-addresses) or time of access.
The detection of whether or not the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked is part of the statistical elicitation. Although this information can be allocated to individual newsletter readers because of technical reasons, it is not my aim nor the aim of Campaign Monitor to observe individual users. At the same time, the analyses facilitate an understanding of users´ reading habits and the adaptation of the contents that correspond to their needs and interests.
In some cases I will direct the newsletter recipients to the websites of Campaign Monitor. For example, the newsletter may contain a link that will enable recipients to retrieve the newsletter online (e.g. in the case of display problems in the email program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can correct their data, such as the email address, at a later date. Also, the data protection declaration of Campaign Monitor can only be retrieved from their own website.
Here, I will point out that the websites of Campaign Monitor use cookies and consequently personal data are processed by Campaign Monitor, its partners and employed service providers (e.g. Google Analytics). I have no influence on this data collection. You will find more information in the data protection declaration of Campaign Monitor. In addition, I want to point out the possibility of making an objection regarding data collection for promotional purposes on the following websites: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European area).
You can cancel the receipt of my newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your agreement. Simultaneously, your agreement to the newsletter dispatch through Campaign Monitor and the statistical analyses will be discontinued. Unfortunately, a separate cancellation of the newsletter dispatch via Campaign Monitor or the statistical analyses is not possible.
You will find a cancellation link at the end of each newsletter.
In correspondence with the GDPR, which came into force on 25 May 2018, I inform you that the agreement to the dispatch of email addresses is done on the basis of article 6, paragraph 1, lit. a, 7 GDPR § 96 (3) of the TCA (Telecommunications Act). Employing the dispatch service provider Campaign Monitor, performing the statistical collections and analyses as well as the recording of the registration procedure are performed on the basis of our valid interest according to article 6, paragraph 1, lit. f of the GDPR. Our interest focuses on the application of a user-friendly and secure newsletter system, which will serve our business interests and satisfy the expectations of our users.
Furthermore, I want to point out that you can object to the future processing of your personal data in accordance with the legal guidelines of article 21 GDPR at any time. The objection can be directed specifically against data processing for the purpose of direct promotions.
